We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing team in Winchester, MA. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care, supervise nursing support staff, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Direct daily activities of LPNs and CNAs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Provide direct nursing care, including medications, wound care, colostomy changes, tube feedings, suctioning, IV administration, and other skilled interventions as assigned
Observe, document, and report changes in resident status to physicians, families, and leadership
Transcribe and carry out physician's orders accurately
Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers
Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met, and staff follow facility policies
Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate transportation needs
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care
Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment; notify appropriate personnel of needs
Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication
Participate in survey processes, inspections, and QAPI activities
Treat all residents with dignity and respect, protecting their rights and confidentiality
Follow infection control policies, safety procedures, and life safety/emergency protocols
Report any abuse, neglect, exposure incidents, or noncompliance according to policy
Complete all assigned training and skills competency requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
Current, unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
Current CPR certification
Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required
