Position Details:

  • Full-Time: NIGHT SHIFT (3)-12hrs shifts 6:00pm - 6:30am

Your goals and objectives include:

  • Perform telehealth assessments via Zoom for a small group of contracted hospital's whose patients present with potentially acute behavioral health concerns
  • Provide safety plans and resources for these patients if they're suitable for discharge; otherwise, coordinate with the hospital where the patient is; as well as others, to facilitate the patient's transfer to an acute behavioral health facility
  • Handle all inbound calls for the hospital's primary intake line, and route calls internally when necessary
  • Review hospital-to-hospital transfer requests and staff with on-call psychiatrist for admission.
  • Collaborate with admissions & nursing teams regarding incoming admissions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Escalate transfer declines to direct supervisor or administrator on call.
  • Actively encourage and maintain the hospital's waitlist for admissions
  • Coordinate telehealth requests from contracted hospitals to dispatch on-call telecrisis team for behavioral health assessments.
  • Schedule patients for the hospital's outpatient services.

Qualifications

Your Qualifications and Requirements will include:

  • Valid Utah RN license or license authorized to practice in Utah REQUIRED.
  • Preferred (1) year of experience working in a psych inpatient setting and detox preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check & drug screen
  • Ability to multitask with creative problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high customer service / interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workflow (triage)
