Surgical Tech Full-time
Responsible for providing surgical assistance in the operating room under the direction of a registered nurse or other designated operating room supervisor and assisting with departmental support activities following hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and sets up operating room.
  • Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
  • Performs terminal cleaning of operating rooms between cases.
  • Completes and maintains records, reports, and other documentation related to the work, including risk management and performance improvement reports.
  • Participates in cost containment and quality assurance programs.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
  • BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN).
  • Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Formerly Liaison Council on Certification of Surgical Technologist.

Preferred:

  • One year of surgical technologist experience.

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited CST program. Graduation from program pending within six (6) months
