Your Role:

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in our skilled nursing facility
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within your scope of practice
Collaborate with a team to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes for residents
Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, and report changes to the Director of Nursing
Promote restorative care to encourage residents’ independence and well-being
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all nursing care provided
Support and mentor nursing staff to foster a positive, patient-centered environment

Newborn Screening Follow Up Program is located in the IDPH Office of Health Promotion, Health Assessment and Screening Section in Springfield. As part of a cohesive team, under general supervision of a newborn screening nurse manager and in conformance to established standards, policies and procedures, RN1 provides professional nursing services in the care and case management of patients diagnosed with or suspected to have a newborn screening condition.
