Each day our 95-bed ED treats 300 to 400 patients with chronic and acute issues, ruling out life threatening conditions and intervening when necessary to stop the progression of acute processes. The team sees everything from sore throats, ear infections, lacerations and broken bones to more serious conditions like stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest, and traumatic injuries from motor vehicle and farming accidents, gunshot wounds and stabbings. Lancaster General Hospital, a Level I-accredited Trauma Center. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care, and provides input into the development and evaluation of patient care. Patient care customer service includes care service to patient's customers in the following age groups: neonatal birth to 30 days, pediatric 30 days through 12 years, adolescent 13 through 18 years, adult 19 through 64 years, and geriatric 65 years and above.
