Your Role as a Day Shift RN

As a Registered Nurse on the day shift, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing resident care while ensuring clinical excellence, compassion, and safety. You’ll work closely with nursing assistants, physicians, and families to support residents’ health and well-being throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments, monitor residents’ conditions, and communicate changes promptly.

  • Administer medications, IVs, and treatments per physician orders.

  • Supervise and support nursing assistants and LPNs during the day shift.

  • Maintain accurate resident records and clinical documentation.

  • Oversee wound care, infection prevention, and rehabilitation support.

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

  • Promote a dignified, comfortable, and caring environment for all residents.

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN license (or multi-state/compact equivalent).

  • Nursing degree from an accredited program.

  • CPR certification required; IV certification preferred.

  • Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
