As a part of our continued growth, Cedars-Sinai Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Endocrinology Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage endocrine issues including but not limited to diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal disease and hormone therapy in an outpatient setting with a collaborating physician. 
  • Conduct medication adjustments dependent on the patient's clinical status.  
  • Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies  
  • Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, and dietary restrictions related to endocrine issues. 
  • Provide support to our department and our team of Endocrinologists.  
  • Communicate and coordinate with other specialties regarding patient care. 

Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners: 

  • Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing 
  • Master’s degree in nursing is required 
  • Nurse Practitioner certification is required 

License/Certification Requirements: 

  • Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California. 
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain. 
  • Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). 
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner 
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
