Position Overview:

As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supervise nursing staff, and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department to ensure optimal resident care.
  • Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Participate in staff education and training programs to promote continuous learning and development.
  • Assist in the recruitment, retention, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers to address concerns and ensure effective communication.

 

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and person-centered care to residents and their families.
