Encore at Parkside is currently hiring for an RN Unit Manager. 

The Unit Nurse, RN is responsible for the overall oversight of the nurses’ station for 110 bed facility. This will include staffing needs, schedules, and assignments/assignment changes. The nurse manager may need to administer medication or fill in on med carts.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

Essential Job Duties:

1.           Supervise all nurses, CNAs and SNF staffing.

2.           Administers direct care as necessary.

3.           Gives and receives shift reports.

4.           Rounds the floor at least three times per shift.

5.           Maintains relationships with family, residents, manager and all staff.

6.           Works closely with other managers and admission team to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of all work.

7.           Attend all meetings regarding the SNF department.

8.           Assist with communicating changes and/or new training as needed.

 

Other Duties:

1.           Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.

2.           Counsels staff as needed.

3.           Responds to resident call bells and family members concerns.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; may be exposed to blood and body fluids which may contain HIV and/or HBV; must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, gerichair or shower chair, pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.  Must be able to transfer, lift, turn and position a resident weighing up to 125lbs. assisted.  Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to 90% of the workday.  May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior.  Must be able to reach up to a level of six feet; must be able to push a dietary cart up to 40 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
