Description

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, and in coordination with the Clinical Director and the Practice Manager, incumbent will follow up patient appointments, complete demographics, referral forms, on-line transactions including appointment and procedure scheduling using the CareConnect System. Explain billing procedures and insurance requirements.

In this position, you will participate in providing patient care in the ambulatory setting, recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms and providing support during life threatening emergencies. You will perform basic administrative, clerical and technical supportive services as needed.

Performs electrocardiograms as directed by a physician. Assists with patient education. Practices and has good understanding of infection control, standard precautions and personnel safety. Provides healthcare services in own job category to the following age groups: adults and geriatrics. Assists with orientation and training of new employees/volunteers, as assigned.
