About the Role:

Virtua Midwifery has designed a 12-month midwifery fellowship to support a newly graduated or early-career midwife in developing confidence, clinical excellence, and leadership skills within a supportive, equity-centered learning environment. The Fellow will provide full-scope midwifery care while participating in structured education, mentorship, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

-Complete a comprehensive 12-month fellowship program

-Provide full-scope midwifery care, including:

-Prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care

-Gynecologic services

-Deliver care across multiple settings, including:

-Birth center

-Hospital

-Midwifery clinic

-Community and specialty clinics

-Participate in didactics, simulation labs, and birth center/hospital drills

-Engage in equity-focused journal clubs, case reviews, and community outreach projects

-Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, respectful, and evidence-based care

-Complete a Capstone Project focused on:

-Advancing birth equity

-Strengthening community partnerships

-Supporting systems-level change

-Participate in ongoing mentorship, structured evaluations, and 360° feedback

Compensation:

The salary for this position is: $115,000.00.
The actual compensation package could vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, the applicant’s experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
