A Day in the Life of a Quality Resource RN:

You’ll be diving into clinical data to identify opportunities for improvement, review medical records, pinpoint key quality indicators, and enter findings into performance measurement systems. You’ll ensure data accuracy and submit reports for accrediting and regulatory agencies and consult with performance improvement work groups, guiding teams toward better outcomes. Every task you complete helps drive excellence in patient care and compliance across the organization.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing:

• Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical practices to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement quality improvement plans and evidence-based protocols.
• Provide education and training to nursing staff and other clinical personnel on quality initiatives, patient safety, and best practices.
• Analyze patient care data and quality metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and quality management departments to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
• Support accreditation and certification processes by preparing documentation and ensuring readiness for surveys and audits. 

Desired Skills:

• Ability to retrieve, compile, and analyze clinical data, and present findings effectively.
• Accuracy in data entry and identifying quality or clinical issues in medical records.
• Skilled in working with multiple departments and presenting data at committee meetings.
• Experience assisting with planning and implementing clinical and data quality improvements. 
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and pursuing ongoing professional growth. 

 Here Is What You Will Need:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska without restriction is required or must obtain Nebraska license within 90 days if residing in Nebraska; if residing outside of Nebraska, a compact state license with no restrictions is required.
• Two to three years of clinical experience; experience in quality improvement or case management preferred. 

Nice to Have:

• Experience assisting leadership with planning and implementing process improvements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and leading quality improvement projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and state health departments.
