Buckingham, Virginia is a beautiful rural community set in the Blue Ridge mountains. Buckingham is less than an hour from Charlottesville, VA and the suburbs of Richmond, VA.

CMG is also home to the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency, a training program for future family physicians, many of whom hold academic appointments with institutions like UVA, VCU, VCOM, and Liberty University.

CMG is proud to launch LEAPP (Leadership, Excellence, Advocacy, Professional Growth, and Professionalism)—its first clinical advancement program for Advanced Practice Providers. LEAPP offers a flexible, two-tiered pathway for professional development, aligning provider interests with advancement opportunities and financial incentives.

Responsibilities

Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm
Patient volume expectation of 18 patients/day once fully ramped up
Position will provide care for patients across the life span. Performs health assessments, follow-up exams for acute & chronic disease management, order & interpret diagnostic tests, medication management
Our ideal candidate will be an FNP with primary care experience treating all ages
New grads with a passion for learning & growing will also be considered

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority
Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications
Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse
