Job Description:
The RN Clinical Educator/Staff Development is responsible for providing clinical expertise, delivering web-based and onsite product, education, and clinical courses with a focus on the adult learning, simulation methodology, educational tools and technology. The clinical educator/staff development assists with the growth and development through project management, product education, initiatives, and product delivery. The educator will function as an educational expert within the division to ensure initiatives are pedagogically sound. They assist other departments within the facility as an internal clinical and educational expert and provides active participation in the overall growth and development of the division. Focus is on delivery of the facility training courses and clinical content development. Strong nursing home experience in various roles is required.
Responsibilities:
Provides initial and continuing education activities for both clinical and nonclinical professionals.
Designs, develops, and provides systemwide, organizational, divisional or unit based educational activities using the principles of adult education that are specific to participant population.
Coordinates product education initiatives, including educational design, with others to ensure it is educationally sound.
Participates in product design, research and development requirements for new and emerging educational products.
Participates as required in major educational initiatives.
Responsible for project management of major initiatives (e.g., Learning Applications or program system designs) as assigned.
Participates in establishing and maintaining the educational requirements
Collaborates with customers in the development of educational programs. Participates as a team member in department work and in team meetings.
Applies Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint knowledge at an intermediate level of Microsoft application.
Seek opportunities to develop and implement interactive and engaging programs utilizing distant, blended, hybrid, and practical-based educational methods.
Demonstrates continuous learning and applies skill and knowledge to facilitate individual department and organizational goals/standards.
Stays current with regulations related to education and Information Technology.
Research class materials, department ideas, and organizational/healthcare related topics. Applies research, new concepts/information, and best practices to program content or methodology.
Other related duties as assigned.
