Job Summary:
As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care for our residents, and maintaining compliance with all healthcare regulations. This leadership role is integral to our mission of providing compassionate, personalized care in a comfortable and safe environment.

Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage nursing staff, ensuring optimal care and efficient operations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including quality standards.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the facility leadership team to promote resident satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • Oversee staffing levels and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage at all times.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation for all care provided.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and provide ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Ensure infection control procedures are followed and assist with audits and surveys.

Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience in a long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and infection control.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
