The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit (Cardiac Cath Lab). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

 

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 3 years RN experience, required
  • 1-year clinical leadership experience, required
  • High School GED required
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
  • Masters Degree preferred 
  • Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required 
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.
  • Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
    • Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC Approved

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Cardiac Cath Lab at St. Anthony Hospital, one of our proud Magnet® hospitals, is a four-room cardiovascular lab, where employees care for those requiring interventional and structural heart procedures, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, Laser Lead Extraction, Atrial-Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation Ablation, explants and implants, Arterectomy, Balloon Angioplasty and stents. Cath Lab team members work collegially with our specialty medical providers. We provide preparation and recovery of inpatients and outpatients requiring use of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Our unit staffs Monday through Friday with on-call support after hours and weekends. New technology and techniques provide new arenas for life-long learning.
