Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- Oversee the nursing department and all nursing staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for residents, ensuring high-quality, individualized care.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
- Monitor and maintain patient care standards, addressing any issues related to care quality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing care and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the nursing department.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment, promoting staff morale and retention.
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Previous experience in a Director of Nursing (DON) or senior nursing leadership role in a long-term care facility.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
