Overview
Performs intake processes for patients entering programs within the multidisciplinary thoracic oncology
department. Such programs may include, LDCT screening, Incidental Pulmonary Nodule, or
Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Conference/Clinic. Specific tasks include completing clinical history
intake to satisfy requirements of the given program, communicating with providers and patients about
next steps in the care process, documentation and tracking of patient care as they move among or within
thoracic programs, coordination of care before/during clinic visits and participation in programmatic
meetings. This position will interface with other team members, including nurse navigators, clinicians, and
front desk staff, to satisfy all program goals and requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completes thoracic program-specific clinical intake
- Coordination, documentation and tracking of care processes in EPIC
- Communication with providers about thoracic program-directed care
- Communication with patients about thoracic program -directed care
- Supports other team members with program goals
- Completes assigned goals
Minimum Required: LPN Licensure
3 years of clinical / medical office experience.
Preferred / Desired: 3 years experience in Oncology clinical work
Education: LPN licensure required.
Special Skills Preferred / Desired: EPIC
