Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Current license to practice nursing in Washington (or eligible to receive or renew).
  • Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
  • Successful completion of CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation Certifications, which are provided during Fairfax new hire training.

As a Diabetes Educator RN, you will provide specialized nursing education and support, empowering individuals with diabetes for effective self-management. Every day you will assess patient needs using nursing principles, develop individualized plans, and educate on blood glucose monitoring, medication, and lifestyle, applying evidence-based nursing practices. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert nursing knowledge in diabetes care, excellent clinical and teaching skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to optimize health outcomes and prevent complications.
