Responsibilities of RN Supervisor:

Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Maryland
Minimum 2+ years nursing experience in healthcare setting
No previous supervisor experience needed, we will train you
Effective communication skills, professionalism, and ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public
Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care center

Qualifications for RN Supervisor:

A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Maryland
Valid BLS Certification (CPR)
Ability to work with multiple patients at once

Candidates may substitute six years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include three years in a supervisory, administrative or teaching capacity in a psychiatric setting for the required education and experience. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing and Hospital Administration specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
