Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse (RN):
 
  • Meet resident needs through assessment, planning intervention, and continually evaluates the quality of care being delivered to residents. Responsible for the administration of oral medications, subcutaneous intramuscular injections and intravenous accurately and be able to detect side effects and report to Nurse Manager or Supervisor any problems or symptoms observed in resident. Assist with the supervision of nurse aides.

Manage the Medicare part A certification process in accordance with Federal and Provider requirements and ensures all criteria are complete prior to physician or physician extender signature/date Manage NONMC and SNF ABN notices per CMS guidelines Provide ongoing monitoring through clinical observation, record review, and communication with nursing staff, medical staff and supports departments to ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines. Provide MDS education to all new staff who will be directly completing the MDS and is responsible for educating all appropriate staff to any changes in the RAI manual Maintain compliance with HIPPA Required qualifications: Graduate of approved (RN) or LPN Program. Previous experience as an RN/LPN with One to three years of professional experience and/or training. Current RN or LPN licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Pennsylvania. AANAC certification is highly desirable.
