Job Summary and Qualifications

Inpatient Rehab is a 16 bed unit with an average length of stay around 10-14 days. We provide rehabilitation services for patients recovering from a wide range of injuries and conditions. Our multidisciplinary team works with patients and their physicians to create customized treatment plans to help them get back to the activities they love. At MMC we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, safe, and quality care, while instilling a nursing culture where teamwork, recognition, decision-making, and driving outcomes start at the bedside. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a member of the Womens/Childrens Float, position will work in the 70-bed NICU and cross train to inpatient Pediatrics. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS required upon hire. NRP certification required within 1 month of hire. PALs required for Pediatrics within 1 month of hire. Previous clinical experience in the NICU and will be cross trained to support Women’s and Children’s Services Float Pool.
