Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates as a key member of the health care team using the nursing process, clinical skills and leadership to direct, provide and evaluate age/population specific patient care according to the department’s scope of service. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

None required for new graduates. Requirements for specialty areas are defined as 1-2 years of experience in specialty area or related clinical experience.

LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; BLS certification, ACLS certification within one year. Additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, and ENPC encouraged but not required.
