Overview Responsible and accountable for assessing and participating in the planning of care for the peri-operative patient through the services offered in the pre-admission screening program. Responsible for gathering health information from each surgical patient who registers into the facility the day of procedure. Accountable for evaluating information provided and planning patients pre-operative preparation needs appropriately. Prepares each patient in a timely manner, following all hospital policies, procedures and standards of care. Assures proper communication is given to the appropriate surgical team member for special patient needs. Maintains competent nursing skill level to ensure provision of safe quality patient care.
