Quality Registered Nurse (Quality RN)
The Quality RN proactively develops and supports the Quality Improvement program in compliance with regulatory, federal and state requirements. Position requires a person who is well organized and demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail. May be delegated additional responsibilities or special assignments.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaboratively develops and implements a Quality Improvement plan that meets regulatory requirements and applies recommendations into policies/procedures/practices as appropriate.
Can identify and measure quality indicators for specific departments in perioperative services.
Assists in the aggregation, analyzing and benchmarking of data and reports findings to the appropriate committees, including MEC and Governing Body.
Ensures the minutes of meetings reflect the Quality and PI reports discussed and includes attachments.
Meets customer expectations by actualizing “EDGE” – Every Day Giving Excellence.
Assists in evaluating new products, techniques and/or methods and provides appropriate feedback for quality improvement purposes.
Participates on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes whenever possible.
Knowledgeable of identification and reporting of a Sentinel Event.
Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirement (State and CMS) and accreditation standards related to Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement.
Knowledgeable of facility Performance Improvement Program, and role of department and individual employee.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Current State of Georgia Nursing License
Current CPR & ACLS
One year experience required peri-operative setting.
Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
