Job Summary: The primary purpose of your job is to provide a safe environment, give emotional and social support and attend to the residents’ physical needs and comfort in a SNF setting. Performs direct care to the residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and as directed by your supervisor. Summary: The Clinical Nursing Assistant is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations. Observes, collects, and documents patient information obtained while providing care and promptly report significant changes in the patient's condition to a registered nurse or physician. Assists patients and their families during admission to the clinical area, orientation to the hospital/clinic/home health experience, and discharge . Provides care/ treatments to patients as outlined in plan of car e including, but not limited to: Monitoring of vital signs Measurement of height and weight Specimen collection Skin preps/scrubs such as chlorohexidine (CHG) bathing Catheter care Capillary blood glucose checks Simple wound care Range-of-motion exercises Drain care Assist patients with routine activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with ambulation as outlined in plan of care Maintains an effective clinical work environment including but not limited to cleaning the work area, changing linens, maintaining and monitoring suppl y levels, and transporting patients / specimens throughout hospital.
