Responsibilities

What you will do as an LPN/LVN

  • Enhance the lives of older adults by assisting them with mobility needs and daily living activities, including housekeeping, bathing, grooming, and routine personal tasks
  • Assist in scheduling of caregivers and supervising of medication program
  • Act as liaison and maintain positive relations with residents and their families and physicians
  • Solve problems and exhibit ethical behavior in partnership with community leaders and your team
  • Receive on-the-job training and have opportunities for career growth and advancement
  • Must be Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing

Qualifications

The LPN participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based on the objectives, standards, and policies of practical nursing. LPN work under the supervision and direction of a RN and/or Physicians. Essential Functions Completion of admission history (no initial assessment) Home medication reconciliation Normal saline flushes Environment of care checklist for SI patients Fingerstick & insulin coverage All PO, SQ, IM medications Oxygen administration and titration per protocol Skin/Wound dressing changes and treatments Update Braden and Falls Risk assessment Venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining blood specimens ordering specialty bed v/s – TPR, BP, pulse ox SCD Feeding pumps Lifting device In an emergency ONLY: Transcribes physicians’ orders in accordance with appropriate Standards.
