A licensed vocational nurse (LVN) is needed to provide dedicated care within a middle school environment in Lompoc, CA. This full-semester contract, starting January 13, 2026, and concluding June 9, 2026, offers an opportunity to support a student one-on-one and contribute to the overall health and safety of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care to an 8th-grade male student with complex eating and emotional disorders
- Monitor health status and administer treatments as directed
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate interventions
- Participate in an LVN pool to support other students as needed during absences or urgent situations
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current California LVN license
- Experience in mental health nursing preferred
- Ability to work onsite full-time with a 7-hour day schedule, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Comfort working closely with young adolescents in a school setting
- Male candidates preferred due to students specific needs
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite work at a middle school in Lompoc, CA
- 32.5 hours per week
