School Registered Nurse | Cleveland, Ohio

A registered nurse (RN) is needed to support a student in an early childhood school setting. This full-semester contract position is based in Barberton, OH, and requires flexibility to accommodate the students attendance, as the student may be out for extended periods. The role involves providing skilled nursing care in coordination with other support personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized care to a 12-year-old female student in the 5th grade who is oxygen-dependent and wheelchair-bound.
• Perform tracheostomy care and manage oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs, or LPNs assigned to the student for supervision and support.
• Flex schedule to accommodate days when the student is not present.
• Attend parent meetings remotely and participate in panel interviews as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Ohio RN license.
• Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care.
• Comfort and competence in working with medically fragile students who communicate via eye gazing.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, including part-time or full-time hours from 7:00 AM to approximately 2:303:00 PM.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team in a school-based setting is preferred.

• Barberton, OH, servicing one school.
