Director of Nursing- DON

We are seeking a driven and dedicated Director of Nursing, RN to oversee 24-hour skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. We are committed to delivering personalized, professional, and expert level care at our post-acute facility. We offer a wide range of services to best offer our patients the highest quality care possible.
The Director of Nursing will work under the direction of a Licensed Administrator and be responsible to complete all duties rendered in the job description.
These duties include: 

• Implement and monitor Facility Policies and Procedures to ensure that the facility is in compliance with all Federal and State Minimum Standards as they apply to nursing and medical services.
• Participate in all resident referrals and admission making determinations for Medicare Part A coverage and discontinuation based on regulation. Supervise all documentation of services provided to residents.
• Supervise Medical Consultants, such as, but not limited to, Pharmacy, Dietitian, Podiatrist, Medical Records, etc., and ensure recommendations are communicated and documented appropriately.
• Monitor and control all nursing-related supplies, equipment, and ancillary charges. Serve on various committees as appointed by the Administrator. Supervise infection control and antibiotic stewardship program.
• Interview, hire, train and supervise all employees under your supervision and review staff competency in dealing with medical issues and provide training on a regular and as needed basis. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Experience: 

• skilled nursing: 3 year (Preferred)
• nursing management: 3 year (Preferred)

License: 

• Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
