Responsibilities

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? At PrairieCare, we are seeking dedicated Psychiatric/Mental Health RNs to provide exceptional care for our adolescent (ages 4-18) and young adult (ages 18-35) patients facing psychiatric and mental health challenges.

  • Engage patients through planning and facilitating exciting nursing groups.
  • Administer medications accurately and empower patients and families with education.
  • Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is a must.
  • Experience: Ideally, you bring at least 1 year of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience within the past two years.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as RN ANCC Certification in Mental Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, or Holistic Health are a fantastic bonus!
  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations with confidence.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Multitasking: Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently while prioritizing effectively.
  • Team Player: A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.

Pay range for this position is $37.92 to $58.68 depending on education and experience.
