Job Description

Staff Nurses are responsible for the following:

Performs patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice.
Practices safe medication administration and assesses patient responses to medication.
Participates in reviewing and/or implementing clinical pathways and care coordination.

The Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to a group of patients within a specified time period and complete all required documentation.

The qualifications for this position include:

BSN Degree preferred, RN required
State Issued RN License required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
RN Intermediate/Critical Care experience highly preferred
Shift/Hours: Full Time/Nights - 36 hours weekly
Every 3rd weekend & every other holiday commitment

Manage the Medicare part A certification process in accordance with Federal and Provider requirements and ensures all criteria are complete prior to physician or physician extender signature/date Manage NONMC and SNF ABN notices per CMS guidelines Provide ongoing monitoring through clinical observation, record review, and communication with nursing staff, medical staff and supports departments to ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines. Provide MDS education to all new staff who will be directly completing the MDS and is responsible for educating all appropriate staff to any changes in the RAI manual Maintain compliance with HIPPA Required qualifications: Graduate of approved (RN) or LPN Program. Previous experience as an RN/LPN with One to three years of professional experience and/or training. Current RN or LPN licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Pennsylvania. AANAC certification is highly desirable.
