This opportunity seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support student health services within K-12 schools in the Jacksonville area. The position is part-time (PRN) with potential to become full-time depending on district needs. The assignment will primarily be at one school location, which could be an elementary, middle, or high school. This role requires an active Florida LPN license and the ability to provide quality nursing care in a school setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing nursing care and health support to students in the health room throughout the school day
- Managing health needs that arise, including varied medical issues and emergencies among the student population
- Collaborating with school staff and parents to ensure student health and safety
- Completing required documentation and maintaining compliance with district health policies
- Participating in orientation and training sessions held prior to assignment start
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Florida LPN license
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience working as an LPN/LVN in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills suitable for a school health setting
