A well-established skilled nursing facility in Venice Florida is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and resident-focused Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who can drive quality outcomes, support staff development, and maintain regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide overall leadership and direction to the nursing department.
Ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee care planning, MDS coordination, clinical audits, and documentation standards.
Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and performance development for nursing personnel.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident needs and operational goals.
Lead and support survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

Current Florida RN license in good standing (required).
Minimum 3 years of clinical leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility (ADON or DON role preferred).
Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations, survey process, and quality measures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage staff, prioritize tasks, and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
