A healthcare opportunity is available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide 1:1 care to students in school settings in Nashua and Manchester, NH. This contract position is full-time and involves supporting a diverse range of student needs across various caseloads. Responsibilities include direct nursing care, assisting with academic support as needed, and potentially accompanying students on the bus.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to students with complex health needs
- Manage medical tasks such as tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, ventilator support, seizure management, and diabetic care according to qualifications and comfort level
- Assist with toileting and daily academic support when necessary
- Accompany students on bus rides if required
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare teams to maintain safe and supportive care plans
Qualifications and experience:
- Active LPN license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
- Competency or willingness to work with medical devices and engage in specialized care such as trach, G-tube, ventilator, seizure, and diabetic management
- Ability to adapt to various student needs and support academic efforts during the school day
- Willingness to communicate clearly about care preferences and limitations
