Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse. What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: Current CA RN License Current BLS Provider Current ACLS Provider within 14 days ONS chemotherapy certification within 90 days External candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or above Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday Sitting is approximately 25% Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary (Weight will vary from patient to patient) Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Must be free from signs of illness and infections Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications: Acute hospital experience Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
