QualDerm Partners is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team in Martinsville, VA. Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Schedule patient appointments and handle office communications efficiently.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.

High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures, particularly in dermatology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
