RNFA will assist in orthopedic and/or robot cases as needed.
8 hour shifts, expected to float between Lansdale and Abington campus

Job Description

RN First Assistants are responsible for the following:

Provide patient care and support before and after the surgery.

Prepares all surgical tools and supplies needed for procedures.

Practice surgical procedures that include controlling bleeding, draping, etc.

The RN First Assistant is a registered nurse who assists the surgeon by monitoring the patient during procedures and by providing nursing care during a specific time period. Qualifications for this position include:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania

BCLS/ACLS certifications required

Provide MDS education to all new staff who will be directly completing the MDS and is responsible for educating all appropriate staff to any changes in the RAI manual Maintain compliance with HIPPA Required qualifications: Graduate of approved (RN) or LPN Program. Previous experience as an RN/LPN with One to three years of professional experience and/or training. Current RN or LPN licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Pennsylvania.
