Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

· The Registered Nurse operating room provides nursing care and service during surgery cases.

· The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.

· Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Qualifications

Education:

· Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Licensure/Certification:

· Currently licensed in the state of TX.

· CPR required; advanced life support certification required.

Required Experience:

· One-year experience required intra-operative setting.

· Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Ability to perform waived testing per Clinical Laboratory policy and procedures and interpret results of waived tests. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. Demonstrates the ability to assist physicians with procedures in the Emergency Department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of TDH, Medicare, Emergency Preparedness and Joint Commission rules & regulations. Ability to make independent sound nursing and management decisions. Liaison between staff and administration as needed. Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation.
