LPN School Contract

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is sought for a contract position supporting a K-12 educational setting serving students ages K-21 years old. This role is based in Kansas City, MO and runs from January 5, 2026, through May 22, 2026.

The primary responsibility is to provide skilled nursing care to a caseload of approximately 37 students with a variety of medical needs. Candidates must have experience managing G-tube feedings and seizure protocols to be considered for this position. The nurse will support students throughout the entire school and may occasionally float to other campuses to cover absences, though this will be rare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care tailored to individual student health plans for students ages K-21
  • Monitor and manage G-tube feeding routines safely and efficiently
  • Identify, respond to, and document seizures according to established protocols
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate health records and comply with all school health policies
  • Occasionally provide coverage on other campuses as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current, active license
  • Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in G-tube feeding management and seizure response
