Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the University Behavioral Health Care. - Observes and reports relevant behaviors, including response to interpersonal, intrapersonal and extra personal events and ability to meet basic needs.
- Participates as needed in consumer treatment planning.
- Uses the UBHC Medical Database resource to help consumers schedule appointments for Primary Care, Eye and Dental as well as any follow- up appointments.
- Administers medication as prescribed by the physician or APN. Prepares and administers routine medications according to procedure as ordered.
- Checks all medical supplies including that unit First Aid Kit and assures available for use.
- Maintains a quiet, clean, organized work area with easily accessible materials and logical work flow.
- Participates in educational programs, including workshops and incorporates content into performance and enters trainings in the UBHC training record.
- Facilitates consumer’s access for alternative benefits as appropriate.
