Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers
Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC
Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
Instruct and counsel patients/families

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS required at hire
ACLS required within 6 months of hire (PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire)

In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do in this role: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response. Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. What qualifications you will need: Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital.
