We are seeking an experienced and committed RN Unit Manager/Infection Preventionist to join our team. This dual-role position is crucial in ensuring both the highest standards of resident care and the effective management of infection prevention protocols within our facility.

Job Summary:

As the RN Unit Manager/Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a nursing unit while also managing the facility's infection prevention and control program. You will lead a team of nursing professionals, coordinate resident care, and implement best practices in infection prevention to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and staff.

RN Unit Manager/Infection Preventionist Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, within the unit.
Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
Conduct regular assessments of residents and update care plans as necessary.
Develop, implement, and monitor the facility’s infection prevention and control program.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including infection control standards.
Educate and train staff on infection prevention protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular infection surveillance, data analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Address and resolve any resident or family concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

RN Unit Manager/Infection Preventionist Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Experience in a supervisory role in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
