Job Posting Summary

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs. PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) is required within 6 months of hire at NAS ED.

Job Summary and Qualifications The RN Manager Med Surg is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. In cooperation with the leadership team, the Manager will be instrumental in developing plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality care. What qualifications you will need: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License Associates Degree in Nursing or if currently not completed a BSN program then must enrolled within 6 months of hire into position and completed within 2 years is required; BSN Degree preferred A current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross) are required 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required; 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience Memorial Hospital has provided quality healthcare services since 1969, giving patients access to highly-trained physicians and advanced technology.
