Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. 3 East is a 31-bed specialized unit, working with Alzheimer's/dementia residents, and tailoring care to meet their needs. Key aspects of this unit are the use of both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, understanding the difficult behaviors that are sometimes associated with residents that have Alzheimer's/Dementia, as well as understanding that these behaviors can be valid communications . It provides needed care to those residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment.
