Responsibilities

As a Nurse( Clinical Critical Care) you will:

Provide an advanced level of specialized nursing care to all critically ill patients.Within given parameters, initiates advanced cardiovascular life support measures by mixing and administering special, potent and lethal drugs (nipride, dopamine, atropine, nitroglycerin dobutamine, etc.) as well as intravenous fluids. Administers special medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, etc. (including intravenous push) routes. Defibrillates if ventricular fibrillation occurs without physician in attendance, under established guidelines. Performs various pulmonary ventilation treatments such as administration of oxygen and compressed air through various means. Administers a variety of respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed.

Qualifications

US Citizenship Required

Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.

Active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

At least one year experience working as a Nurse (Clinical/Critical Care)

Our patients include adult and Geriatric (No Pediatrics) Our Care team consists of a team that provides safe quality care: Registered Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, RN Case Managers, Medical Providers, Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator. Our PCM and Charge Nurses are available to support our clinical needs with access to education, resources, guidelines, and protocols. Our electronic medical record is EPIC. Ratios for SCU include 2:1 ICU, 3-4:1 Stepdown, 5-6:1 Med-Surgical-ICU Staff are cross trained to Med-Surgical Assignment during orientation. We operate 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday (24/7), including after hour nights, weekend, and holidays.
