The Operating Room RN Responsibilities Include

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
  • RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. For this position, we prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room.

PAY Full-time base pay is $37.00 per hour with additional shift differential for evening (3p-11p), overnight (11p-7a), and weekend (Sat. & Sun.) hours. AVAILABLE SCHEDULES Nights: 7pm - 7am Full-time RNs work a set schedule of 3 x 12 shifts with current openings throughout the week SUMMARY This is a competent professional nurse, who by training, skill and licensure can deliver and document quality nursing and medical care to clients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Administers care, observes, assesses, and documents psychiatric and medical issues, administers client medications and provides other services authorized by licensure. RN may be responsible for supervising other nurses and mental health technicians if assigned. Facility contains 2 crisis stabilization units with 30 beds each. One unit is all adults. The other unit is co-located with 15 adults and 15 adolescents. Nurses typically work in teams of two per shift. Strong communication and assessment skills are a must. Clientele includes the homeless population and those with insurance. JOB FUNCTION Conducts initial physical health assessments. Initiates, updates and revises treatment goals and plans utilizing team input. Administers and monitors medication regimen. Acts as liaison with community agencies and families to coordinate treatment and services. Educates consumers regarding medication compliance and potential side effects. Evaluates and follows up on any medical concerns. Attends and participates in daily treatment planning meetings. Provides direct clinical services to consumers in individual and group settings. Maintains productivity level and writes/maintains required records in time frame defined by management.
