Position Details

Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN/Per Diem, Part-Time, Full-Time
Salary: $40.00–$49.00 per hour, Depending on Experience

Your Contributions

As an LPN at Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation, you’ll provide essential nursing care and support to residents and families while promoting a safe, positive environment. You will:

  • Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician.

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with care plans.

  • Document assessments, care, and resident progress with precision and confidentiality.

  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

  • Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in delivering quality care.

Core Qualifications

  • Active Washington State LPN license.

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Physical ability to lift/maneuver up to 30 lbs.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rules.

  • Current CPR certification.

Additional Experience That Sets You Apart

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.

  • Familiarity with behavioral and memory care.

  • Proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents’ health status and report changes promptly.

  • Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.

  • Participate in care planning and documentation.

  • Educate residents and families on health-related concerns.

  • Support and mentor CNAs in day-to-day care tasks.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.
