Be the Best Hospice Registered Nurse/RN Team Director You Can Be  

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:  

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Certified Hospice Nurse (CHPN) preferred
  • Three+ years' experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgery, oncology, or patient population-specific nursing (i.e., geriatrics, pediatric, etc.)
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
  • Possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role (preferred)  
  • Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations  
  • Meet the regulations and requirements of the state(s) in which the program provides services  

Responsibilities:   

As a Hospice Registered Nurse Team Director, you will: 

  • Supervise direct patient and family care team members, in collaboration with program site leadership
  • Responsible for scheduling , payroll, and other administrative duties
  • Ensure all initial assessments and required reassessments are conducted by qualified team members within required time frames, including documentation submissions, and/or synchonization
  • Oversee and support the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) in development, implementation, and review of the interdicisiplinary plan of care for each patient and family
  • Collaborate with program site leadership memebrs to monitor, manage, and mentor staff in patient care activities, productivity, and documentation per related policies and protocols
  • Pariticpates and promotes Back to Bedside efforts in reinforcing Case Management skills, and knowledge and attitude per protocol for all disciplines
  • Collaborate with site leadership to support staff education efforts
  • Facilitates IDG meetings and provides ongoing IDG Support such as triaging incoming calls, provides caller support and assistance, and performs quality calls
  • Participates in or lead quality improvement activities, including data collection and aggregation as able
  • Reinforces and supports all internal and external communications

Description Registered Nurse / RN - Emergency Room Shift: Seasonal - PRN (See Requirements Below) Required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. Description Registered Nurse / RN - Day Surgery Shift: PRN (Seasonal) Rate: 70.00/hr PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period Reside within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. Job Summary and Qualifications Position Details: Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement On-call is required during select non-business hours What you will do in this role: Evaluate patients prior to surgery Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy Recognize and respond to patient emergencies Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing with a minimum of Bachelors of Science in Nursing Preferred 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting​ RN with current licensure or RN with temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Medical City North Hills is a 165+ bed hospital located in the heart of northeast Tarrant County.
