Provides basic wound care training and orientation to all new nursing and therapy staff on hire; provides ongoing in-services and training relating to skin and wound care. 8. Works with vendors to maintain cost effective wound care formulary. 9. Participates in performance improvement activities. 10. Participates in marketing programs as needed. 11. Conducts on-going surveillance using Center of Disease Control (CDC) infection criteria, documentation, and investigation of hospital acquired infections through review of admission diagnoses, microbiology culture results, isolation orders, patient records, consultation requests etc. 12.
